How We Started Our Flipbook Booth Business
and Why We Went With a Photo Booth Alternative
Hello! I’m Amber Gomez, the owner of Flippin’ Fun Fotos, LLC., a super unique and custom photo booth alternative provider! I was born and raised in Sierra Vista, AZ. and have lived here for nearly all of my life, aside for my time in the Navy. I married the man of my dreams nearly ten years ago in Tucson at Celebrations Party Spot. Not only was the venue fantastic, the owner (Deanie I still appreciate you!) made the BEST recommendations for everything! I still remember the name of our MC because he was so fun I even think my in-laws liked him better than me! (Marc from CE Entertainment, if you’re reading this- you rock!) I can’t recall if the flipbook booth was something she recommended as well, or if I found it on Pinterest, but I remember it was the perfect solution for my two problems. I would tag her, but she doesn’t do them anymore. My first problem was that while he had some young and fun members on his side of the family, most of our guests were not the drinking or dancing type. How do you entertain people at a wedding outside of that? And my second problem was that I had no idea what to give as a keepsake, memento, favor, or whatever you call them. Do people ever actually want those things?
I felt I was in luck when I found that the flipbook booth solved both of those problems for me! I just wasn’t sure if even something so fun and unique would do the trick with some of the more serious characters in my family, like my father. But I was wrong! I even got to watch the flipbook he made with my mom, my serious dad was having fun and being silly! And I have PROOF!
Fast forward to 2023 when I began feeling the entrepreneurial call, or fell for an ad, or both.
It started with finding those 360 booths on Amazon, and ended with me staying up until 4am working on the first revision of my business plan.
Since my flipbook hero was no longer in the industry, and there is nothing like it here locally, I was so excited to start my flipbook booth business! When I told my friends and family, I was locked in. They still had their flipbooks from my wedding! Not like, in the back of a drawer sorta crumpled, but like, available to show me nine years later!
THAT’S a good party favor!
The best part of the business is we get to put our own spin on it! And by we, I mean you too! We love that our booth is fully customizable for all types of events! We can change the props, we can change the covers, and we can make a custom background to add to our green screen options! As long as it isn’t a St. Patrick’s Day themed party, our green screen can add to every theme!
